As a Restaurant Team Leader at Wegmans, you will oversee the dynamic and fast-paced restaurant area, which includes offerings including pizza, sub sandwiches, sushi, hot food bars, and more. You will play a key role in creating an exciting and engaging experience for customers while leading a passionate team dedicated to exceptional service.
What will I do?
+ Manage and develop a team of employees by engaging in meaningful conversations, building trusted relationships and providing development opportunities
+ Foster enthusiasm, knowledge and passion for offerings and ensure the team provides a positive dining experience
+ Manage department operations, including ordering, scheduling, payroll, and forecasting
+ Ensure the department runs efficiently, and maintain consistent two-way communication with team members and store management
+ Oversee that offerings are prepared with speed, accuracy and consistency
+ Ensure the team properly uses equipment, follows recipes, adheres to safety guidelines, and complies with federal and state laws
Required Qualifications
+ 1 or more year work experience, preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting
+ Ability to balance providing incredible service while ensuring laws and policies are strictly adhered to
+ Passion for food and people with enthusiasm to learn more about the product
+ Systems aptitude, including computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience leading a team
+ Experience ordering products and controlling inventory
+ Experience coordinating the daily work of others
+ Enthusiasm for and knowledge of relevant products
+ Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new situations
