Job Description:

As a Restaurant Team Leader at Wegmans, you will oversee the dynamic and fast-paced restaurant area, which includes offerings including pizza, sub sandwiches, sushi, hot food bars, and more. You will play a key role in creating an exciting and engaging experience for customers while leading a passionate team dedicated to exceptional service.

What will I do?

Manage and develop a team of employees by engaging in meaningful conversations, building trusted relationships and providing development opportunitiesFoster enthusiasm, knowledge and passion for offerings and ensure the team provides a positive dining experienceManage department operations, including ordering, scheduling, payroll, and forecastingEnsure the department runs efficiently, and maintain consistent two-way communication with team members and store managementOversee that offerings are prepared with speed, accuracy and consistencyEnsure the team properly uses equipment, follows recipes, adheres to safety guidelines, and complies with federal and state laws

Required Qualifications

1 or more year work experience, preferably in a food service, grocery or retail settingAbility to balance providing incredible service while ensuring laws and policies are strictly adhered toPassion for food and people with enthusiasm to learn more about the productSystems aptitude, including computer skills
