Position Overview


The Restaurant Shift Leader role is focused on delivering sales and positive results through Guest & Operations coordination. This Hourly position supports the Restaurant General Manager and Assistant Manager in managing the operations during assigned shifts while driving key performance outcomes.


Full-time and Part-time positions are available.


Pay Transparency


Starting pay rate - Up to $16.00 per hour.


Responsibilities


Directs team and ensures all food items are prepared and served according to all Brand, Company, and health department regulations. Coaches team members to follow guidelines for food preparation and production management.Motivates and directs Team Members to exceed guest expectations with accurate, fast, and friendly service in clean surroundingsSupervises crew members in the preparation of menu items to ensure compliance with all Burger King Corporate (BKC) Operations and Sanitation standardsEnsures that staff maintain an exceptional level of customer service and that orders are taken in a prompt, accurate, and courteous mannerResolves customer complaints as neededEnsures an adequate level of staffing and service in the restaurant, which is critical to keeping a productive level of operationMaintains a clean restaurant environment by performing general housekeeping and deep cleaning duties. Assigns shift duties to team members and follows up to ensure completion.Manages cash control per policy and counts cash on hand at shift changes and at closing to decide shortages or overages while preparing bank depositsMonitors and ensures accuracy of all cash, sales, and inventory control records for the duration of the shift. Completes end-of-shift and end-of-day paperwork and counts as needed.


Qualifications


Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age or olderMinimum education requirement: High school diploma or equivalentMinimum one year of first-line supervisory experience, preferably in a restaurant or customer service environmentProven understanding of guest service principlesSERV Safe, local, and state certifications or the ability to obtain neededDemonstrate the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange correct information in these situations.Tolerance for extreme cold and hot temperatures and work in and around fryers, ovens, grills, coolers, freezers, sharp objects, and loud noisesReach, grasp, and manipulate objects with hands for an entire shift, including reaching for objects overheadPush, pull, lift, and carry up to 50+ lbs., including lifting from ground to overhead
