Position Overview

The Restaurant Shift Leader role is focused on delivering sales and positive results through Guest & Operations coordination. This Hourly position supports the Restaurant General Manager and Assistant Manager in managing the operations during assigned shifts while driving key performance outcomes.


Responsibilities

Directs team and ensures all food items are prepared and served according to brand, company, and health department regulationsCoaches team members to follow guidelines for food preparation and production managementMotivates and directs Team Members to exceed guest expectations with accurate, fast, and friendly service in clean surroundingsSupervises crew members in the preparation of menu items to ensure compliance with all Burger King Corporate (BKC) Operations and Sanitation standardsEnsures that staff maintain an exceptional level of customer service and that orders are taken in a prompt, accurate, and courteous mannerEnsures an adequate level of staffing and service at all timesMaintains a clean restaurant environment by performing cleaning tasks in the lobby, restrooms, kitchen, and exterior areasManages cash control per policy and counts cash on hand at shift changes and at closingMonitors and ensures accuracy of all cash, sales, and inventory control records for the duration of the shiftCompletes end-of-shift and end-of-day paperwork and counts as needed


Qualifications

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age or olderMinimum education requirement: High school diploma or equivalentMinimum one year of first-line supervisory experience, preferably in a restaurant or customer service environmentProven understanding of guest service principlesSERV Safe certification or the ability to obtain as neededDemonstrate the ability to communicate and exchange information and ideas so others will understandActs with integrity; keeps commitments
