**HIRING RESTORATION CARPENTER IN HARRISBURG - START ASAP** **Job Description** We are currently looking for an experienced carpenter in Middletown, PA. The candidate will be responsible for performing carpentry duties at homes or commercial buildings that have been damaged by wind, flood, or fire. The role primarily involves finishing tasks such as hanging and finishing drywall, painting, and installing trim, windows, and doors. Restoration experience is highly recommended but not required. Candidates must have at least 5 years of carpentry experience, a valid driver's license, and be willing to submit to a background check. The ability to use an iPad for work orders and real-time project updates is essential. **Responsibilities** + Perform carpentry duties at homes or commercial buildings affected by wind, flood, or fire. + Conduct finishing tasks including hanging and finishing drywall, painting, and installing trim, windows, and doors. + Assist with demolition work when necessary. + Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at project sites. + Recognize potential problems with projects and request additional guidance and assistance as needed. + Move and protect contents without causing damage. + Construct appropriate containment for construction dust, dirt, and airborne contaminants in working areas. + Perform tasks related to flood cutting, salvaging, and labeling baseboards, cabinets, doors, etc. + Identify different types of insulation, their thickness, and their respective R-value. + Apply learned skills and materials knowledge to daily tasks. + Maintain attention to detail and meet company standards in safeguarding other people's property. + Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines. + Work nights and weekends as requested and travel periodically. + Report time worked and equipment and consumables used accurately. + Attend company-sponsored operations and safety training courses as required. **Essential Skills** + At least 5 years of experience as a carpenter. + Valid driver's license. + Ability to use an iPad for work orders and real-time project updates. + Comprehensive understanding of customer service principles and practices. + Ability to work on an on-call schedule (once every 4-5 weeks). **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Restoration experience is highly recommended but not required. + Ability to recognize and address potential project problems. + Knowledge of different types of insulation and their R-values. + Experience with trim, doors, cabinetry, insulation, rough framing, acoustical ceilings, roofing materials, and exterior siding. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
