Join our Family Enrichment Team! Penquis, a social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Knox counties for over 50 years, is currently seeking a part-time (24-32 hrs. benefit eligible) Restorative Justice Facilitator to work in the Restorative Practice in the Workforce Program. As a Restorative Justice Facilitator, you will be responsible for providing coordination of services which includes training community partners in restorative practices and facilitation of circle dialogues in Penobscot and Piscataquis counties. The Restorative Practice in the Workforce program collaborates with Northeastern Workforce Development Board and Eastern Maine Development Corporation (EMDC) to offer a restorative approach for both employees and employers to establish restorative practices in resolving conflict in the workforce.
This position is based out of Bangor with required travel throughout Penobscot & Piscataquis Counties
Location: Bangor, Maine
Restorative Justice Facilitator Responsibilities:
+ Facilitate and coordinate restorative programming including engaging with the community to establish support of the program and participants.
+ Support outreach and ongoing efforts to engage employers in establishing restorative practices.
+ Partner with EMDC staff to offer programming to employers and employees including facilitation of restorative circle dialogues and processes.
+ Comply with all assigned program and contract requirements including data tracking, reporting and quality assurance standards.
The Restorative Justice Facilitator will also have the opportunity to facilitate circle processes for Penquis’ Restorative Justice Program for juveniles.
Restorative Justice Facilitator Requirements:
+ High School diploma with a minimum of three years’ experience volunteering and/or working with others related to employment or direct social services.
+ Must be trained in Restorative Justice 101 as a facilitator or be willing to complete the training.
+ Must have a valid Maine driver’s license and access to reliable, insured transportation and be willing to travel throughout Penobscot and Piscataquis counties.
+ Reliable smart phone, or phone and computer, to utilize for phone calls to coordinate program scheduling.
+ Excellent written and verbal communications skills and be comfortable facilitating groups.
+ Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must comply with Penquis background check requirements with satisfactory results as outlined in current contract provisions.

The rate of pay for this position starts at $19.46-27.25 per hour, as additional compensation may be given consideration with relevant experience.
