Key Accountabilities
Financial Control Responsible for performing all bookkeeping tasks for several Owned Retail stores across EuropeVerify and enter sales, cost of goods sold, payments and stock movement entries from EPOSValidate accuracy of invoices, reconcile with goods received, enter and pay via Accounts PayablePosting of all monthly Profit & Loss journals, ensuring an accurate P&L position by the end of Working Day 2Maintain accurate accruals and prepaymentsMaintain accurate Fixed asset registerReconciliation of bank accounts and supplier balancesPerform balance sheet reconciliations on time every month, ensuring all balances are well understood & documented, supporting a ‘no surprises’ cultureMaintenance of VAT records and preparation of returns where applicableSupport the annual budgeting and monthly reforecasting process with analysis and insightEnsure systems are in place to monitor and support Financial Control in stores, acting swiftly when needed to maintain high standardsSupporting Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) developments and process improvement projectsBusiness Support Deliver business information and other customised reports to your customers in a language they can understandUtilize the excellent tools and systems we have to ensure we understand our margin, facilitating actions in stores in order to achieve maximum sales & marginUnderstand & monitor the business KPIs, supporting the store teams in driving improvementsCoordinate monthly P&L review meetings with all of your Store ManagersFacilitate insightful monthly or quarterly meetings with adhoc analysis as requiredAim to visit all of your stores at least once every three months; some travel required.Technical Requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Office packagesExperience with ERP systems such as Oracle, JD Edwards or SAPEPOS & Stock Control ExposureExperienced in international and intercompany invoicingConfident understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and European VAT rules or desire to learn fastBookkeeping or Accounting qualificationMinimum of two years bookkeeping experience, preferably with a retail focus.People managementExcellent written and verbal Spanish and English language.
