The Brand Management team promotes and maintains the brand image at local, national or international levels. Coordinates marketing strategies, including packaging, pricing, expense budgets, advertising and promotion of the brand. Develops associated advertising campaigns for the brand.

This role in summary

Whirlpool is seeking a qualified candidate for a Retail Activation Manager opening to join our Retail Activation team. The role can be based in Chicago, IL at WoW Studios or at the Riverview Campus in Benton Harbor, MI. 

 

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and team player. This role is critically important for Whirlpool’s retail partners and ensuring success in the retail space. Candidates for this role should be able to work independently, and develop and execute retail activation plans in line with overall brand strategy and priorities. This role leads the joint business plan (JBP) for a given retail channel, translating brand strategic plans into actionable retail activation delivering high impact. The Retail Activation Manager ensures the plan is executed in full and on time, making sure the strategic vision is implemented effectively at the operational level. This role will manage and report budget spend and ROI for all retail activations. 
 

Your responsibilities will include Develop annual activation plan (JBP) in close collaboration with retailer, sales team and Brand Marketing, making sure priorities and strategic direction are aligned Design and execute marketing campaigns and promotional activities at the retailer level (both on the sales floor and on retailer.com), in collaboration with key strategic channels and in alignment with annual activation planDrive strategic partnership, ensuring the partner is  well equipped with necessary tools, resources, and training to promote the brand effectivelyCreate compelling in-store experiences that capture shopper interest and encourage interaction with our brand’s products (driving high engagement and conversion rate) Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform marketing strategies (including Retailer sales by Brand, by region)Provide insights and recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness and in-store brand visibility (both offline and online)Monitor and report on performance of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize resultsCollaborate with Brand, Product, Sales and Merch teams to ensure priority alignment and full integration of the key business prioritiesMinimum requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing 3+ years of  experience in Shopper Marketing or Brand MarketingPreferred skills and experiences Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or online retail managementStrong interpersonal, motivational, and influencing skills to engage and build rapport with business partners and brand teamsStrong verbal and written communicationUnderstanding of retail media strategies and overall implementation of paid media strategiesAbility to project manage in adherence to objectives and milestonesDigitally savvy and eCommerce focusedAbility to manage, prioritize, and execute multiple key activitiesWhat we offer
