Included in the POWDR portfolio, is Stovepipe Wells located in Death Valley National Park, operated under a long-term concessions contract with the National Park Service.
Zion Lodge is in National Register of Historic Places designed in 1924 by Gilbert Stanley Underwood in the National Park Service rustic style. The Zion Lodge is a year-round operation with 76 hotels rooms, 6 suites and 40 cabins as well as a restaurant, outside grab and go café, bar, gift shop and auditorium space. In the year 2025 a coffee and wine bar will be opening.
Zion Lodge is a welcoming, safe, and environmentally responsible resort providing accommodations and services inside Zion National Park. Over the next few years, the resort will undergo upgrades to rejuvenate accommodations and dining for public enjoyment. Renewable energy projects and energy efficiency upgrades will also be completed as well as other Sustainability innovations. POWDR operates Zion Lodge under a long-term concession contract with the National Park Service.
Job Summary:
As a Retail Associate, you will provide exceptional guest service in our retail shop, helping visitors find the perfect souvenirs and outdoor essentials to enhance their experience in Zion National Park. You will be responsible for maintaining an organized and well-stocked retail environment, processing transactions accurately, and sharing your knowledge of the park and its offerings with guests. Your friendly, welcoming demeanor will contribute to an unforgettable guest experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet guests as they enter the store, offering assistance and answering any questions they may have about products or the park.Assist guests in selecting merchandise, such as apparel, gifts, souvenirs, and outdoor gear, ensuring they have a positive shopping experience.Operate the point-of-sale system (POS) to process purchases, returns, and exchanges efficiently and accurately.Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, including restocking shelves, folding and arranging merchandise, and keeping displays neat and appealing.Handle cash, credit card, and gift card transactions responsibly, ensuring proper procedures are followed.Share information about Zion National Park and the products available in the store, helping guests choose items that enhance their visit.Participate in regular inventory counts and assist in monitoring stock levels to ensure timely reordering of merchandise.Stay informed about current promotions, sales, and events, and communicate these to guests to maximize their shopping experience.Assist with opening and closing duties, such as counting the cash drawer, locking up the store, and preparing the store for the next business day.Other Duties as Assigned:

Due to the in-person nature of the hospitality business, housing will be provided on-site and commuting from the local vicinity is also acceptable.Due to the nature of our business, Zion Lodge is open every day. You must be prepared to work a schedule which may include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Able to work and thrive in Zion National Park.Ability to follow Retail and Merchandise requirements and compliance with our concessions contract.Previous retail experience preferred but not required.Strong communication and customer service skills with a friendly, outgoing attitude.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.Must be comfortable using POS systems, handling cash, and processing transactions accurately.Ability to lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 30 lbs. and stand for extended periods.Knowledge or willingness to learn about Zion National Park and its attractions.ESQ and Play Forever Responsibilities and Requirements:
