We are currently adding to our South Portland, ME team and currently have PT Sales Associates and Key Holder positions available. These are customer service roles in which the sales associate gives customers their immediate and complete attention by explaining, demonstrating, and selling woodworking supplies and tools. When not engaged with a customer, the focus should be on the maintenance of the sales floor including facing, dusting and general housekeeping.\n

Responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:\n\nWelcoming and engaging with customers as they enter the store.\nAssessing customers' needs and suggesting solutions to their problems.\nWorking with cash registers and processing payments\nRecommending the best products to customers\nCleaning and restocking the store throughout the day.\n\n

Key Holder responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:\n\nOpens and closes store as directed by store manager. May also perform other management tasks including but not limited to receiving, pricing, and merchandising.\nWorking with cash registers and processing payments.\nHandles customer refunds and overrides. Prepares necessary documentation in accordance with prescribed procedures.\nAssist with unloading trucks, pricing and merchandising or any other duties as assigned.\n\n

Required Qualifications:\n\nEnergetic, self-motivated, listening and communication skills, bilingual a plus!\nMust be able to stand for long periods of time; ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely participate in team lifting.\nAbility to network and build relationships with customers.\nProblem-solving and resolution skills\nFlexibility to work a 5-day retail schedule (9:00a.m.- 7:00p.m M-Sat and 11:00a.m. -4: 00p.m for Full Time or Part Time), and designated holidays.\nPrevious sales experience in retail sales environment is a plus, but not required.\n\n
