Purpose at Ashley:  

The Product Technician role is primarily responsible for the repair of case goods, leather, and upholstery furniture. You will be completing minor furniture repairs on all types of product damage, including handling or damage.

  

What You’ll Do 

· Repairs with little guidance on all product types.

· Completes all repair types of entry level with additional skills requirements.

· Performs minor repair on top of surface of case pieces and tables.

· Performs solid color paper/side refinishes.

· Performs small corner damages that requires rebuild.

· Has general understanding of spray booth set up and use.

· Performs advance replacement part repairs.

· Communicates any maintenance of tools, parts and hardware needed as well as keeping repair area/shop clean.

· Help to inspect damaged products and communicate if it can be repaired to like new conditions.

· Works with warehouse personnel on techniques of minor touch up on products during the inspection process.

· Documents and follows through on recurring product damages.

· Assist other technicians.

· Accurately reports situations that occur when repairs cannot be completed.

· Must be able to assess damages to determine the most efficient way to repair them.

· Identifies damage, loss or surplus of goods and materials stored in the warehouse.


What You Bring 

· Legally Authorized to work in the US.

· At least 21 years old.

· Regularly lift objects up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.

· Ability to transport loads of 50+ lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.

· Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

· Maintain reliable attendance.

· Thrive in a team environment.
