Purpose at Ashley

The Receiving role plays a crucial role in ensuring that all incoming furniture items are received and unloaded according to standard operating procedure, inspected, and documented before they are prepared for delivery, or stored in the distribution center. Receiving is responsible for unloading furniture shipments from trucks or containers using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment. You will be expected to communicate any issues or discrepancies discovered during the receiving process to the appropriate personnel, such as supervisors or inventory control inspectors. This ensures that incoming furniture items are received, inspected, and processed accurately and efficiently.

Our ideal candidate is dependable and enjoys a physically active warehouse environment. You will be working independently but as part of a large, motivated, and high achieving team moving large products in a dynamic distribution center setting. The work is fast-paced and self-driven, allowing for an elevated level of independence throughout the day.

What You will Do 

· Transfer materials within the Warehouse facility as needed.

· You will frequently transport loads of up to 100 pounds and occasionally manipulate up to 250 pounds.

· Operate Forklifts or other powered vehicles in a safe and appropriate manner.

· Always make safety for yourself and your co-workers a top priority.

What You Bring 

· Legally Authorized to work in the US.

· Be at least 18 years old.

· Regularly lift objects over 75bs. with or without reasonable accommodation.

· Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

· Maintain reliable attendance.
