Retail Ecommerce Search Analyst

The Retail Ecommerce Search Analyst will work to improve search results, relevancy, navigation filters, and more in order to provide a better customer experience while searching and shopping on OReillyAuto.com. This person will partner with teams on content, technical changes, and data improvements to enhance product findability in order to increase profitable ecommerce sales and enhance the overall digital customer experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Work with internal teams (IT, Digital User Experience, Catalog, Merchandise, etc.) and external suppliers to enhance how online content is displayed, including product sort, website filtering/navigation, product descriptions, and product/fitment attribute usage.

Consistently work to ensure all aspects of the catalog system are performing as expected, including search results and performance, vehicle and product information accuracy, and general user experience.

Drive digital platform improvements through feature, enhancement, and content development and execution, increasing search volume, clicks, conversion rate, and revenue.

Ensure that catalog searches (recommendations, relevancy, part number and interchange) produce quality results, sorted in a manner that honors company objectives.

Troubleshoot to determine whether issues are operational or procedural, data, or system related.

Monitor various channels for feedback and use the information gathered to help determine key initiatives for future product enhancements.

Actively work with all necessary technical and functional teams throughout the lifecycle of IT projects including: providing quality business requirements and use cases, development of documentation for technical and functional audiences, approval of functional documentation, backlog prioritization, monitor and assist in quality assurance testing, perform user acceptance testing, and implementation and rollout of approved technical solutions.

Monitor and evaluate the competitive landscape and stay up-to-date on website and search trends for best practices.

Set and evaluate monthly and annual goals for on-site searches based on past performance in conversion rate, click rate, re-search rate, etc. Report regularly on findings and recommendations to improve performance.

Use internal and external tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, DOMO, Verint, etc.) to analyze site metrics, customer research, and related data to identify opportunities that improve onsite search, digital merchandising, and the customer experience across digital platforms and various product categories.

Report regularly to stakeholders on key metrics and provide insights and recommendations for growth and best practices (supplier/part type scorecard updates, Fusion search metrics, etc.).

Perform daily maintenance and search updates on the site (redirects, link updates, etc.).

Attend and participate in meetings as a representative of the Omnichannel team, providing input and information to help ensure projects are prioritized accordingly.

Assist with maintaining and supporting both current and future systems and procedures handled by the Omnichannel department.

Assist with special department projects at the direction of the Supervisors, Managers, Directors or Vice President.

All other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

REQUIRED

Strong interest in understanding and driving digital user behavior

Process-oriented with strong analytical skillsAbility to work with large data sets and make data-driven decisions

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to motivate and influence work in a cross-functional work environment

DESIRED

Bachelor’s degree in related field

3+ years’ experience in digital business, merchandising, development, etc. or equivalent

Experience with web and sales analytics (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Verint, etc.)

Automotive retail knowledge
