Retail Facilities Coordinator

What will you do?

A day in the life of a Retail Facilities Coordinator at VF looks a little like this.

You will contribute to the national maintenance and repairs program for multiple VF Outdoor retail stores across North America. As part of the Retail Facilities team, you will interface with Operations teams, Finance, Loss & Prevention, Risk & Safety, Marketing, Visuals, as well as Real Estate, Leasing & Construction. You will oversee the daily work orders, ensuring all requests are scheduled and executed efficiently and effectively. You will report to the Retail Facilities Manager.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

Customer Service:  Ensure our VF facilities team upholds each brand’s standards to deliver a complete shopping experience to our retail customers.  Interact positively with both internal and external groups.

Communication:  Review correspondence (email and ServiceChannel) and respond promptly with options, solutions or redirect to the appropriate party.

Administration:  Follow up on the day-today ServiceChannel work orders, as directed by trade and/or region, emphasizing a positive and immediate response to the concerns and needs of our customers and retail store teams.

ServiceChannel:  Maintain and utilize ServiceChannel software system to maximize customer (stores) satisfaction.

Project Assistance:  Assist with various Roll Out projects as assigned.

Flexibility:  Work flexible hours as required, occasionally taking emergency calls after hours and rotating weekend coverage to support the Direct To Consumer process. 

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 2+ years a facilities coordination role within a Retail environment (preferred), CMMS experience, project management and/or trades experience helpful.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

Basic knowledge of retail store systems: electrical, lighting, plumbing, fire safety, utilities, waste management, general maintenance, locks, doors, janitorial, etc.

Motivated self-starter, customer service oriented, able to work independently with a proactive approach.

Communicate and coordinate maintenance and repair needs, monitor Service Providers daily performance, and resolve issues.

Assist in requesting and preparing RFPs for service requests and preventive maintenance contracts.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong verbal, written, computer, and communication skills; proficient in Excel, Word, and related software.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction, Real Estate, Facilities Management, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

Location requirement: This hybrid position requires the ideal candidate to reside within Southern California to better support the Retail Facilities Team.  The candidate will be based out of Vans Headquarters in Costa Mesa, CA.

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

Knowledge of Zoom, Teams, Concur and Coupa

Bilingual English/Spanish (not necessary but desired)

Hiring Range:

$55,296.00 USD - $69,120.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
