Job Description

As NCG Strategic Buyer for COS you will work to secure interior that both heighten the customer experience and deliver on brand ID, to support the global business strategy. You will be responsible for categories that you will own and develop the purchasing strategy for. Securing the right supplier base, price, sustainability and quality for all COS stores globally.

What you will do:

Supplier Base Management: Secure the right supplier base for the category, ensuring quality and sustainability for COS stores globally.Supplier Performance: Accountable for the performance of suppliers against goals and KPIs.Improvement Plans: Develop and implement long-term corrective and preventative action and improvement plans with suppliers.Collaboration: Report to the NCG (Non-Commercial Goods) Strategic Lead and work closely with Strategic Buyers, Tactical Buyers, NCG Coordinators, Engineers, and multiple other roles across the H&M Group.Market Knowledge: Maintain a solid understanding of the supplier market and product portfolio in the category, continually strengthening and building on this knowledge.Partnerships: Identify short-term partnerships and collaborations based on brand identity and business needs.Business Ethics: Exhibit a strong understanding of external business relations and uphold a high sense of business ethics and integrity.Project Planning: Plan medium to large scale category initiatives, defining timelines, scope, project structure, etc.Supplier Negotiations: Conduct RFIs, RFQs, and commercial supplier negotiations.

What you need to succeed

Prior experience in a purchasing role within the lighting industry.Strong understanding of quality related to materials, sustainability, and supplier base.Proficiency in analyzing comprehensive and extensive data sets to support fact-based business decisions.Confidence in handling forecasts, budgets, and costs.Solid understanding of the interrelation of NCG (Non-Commercial Goods) systems.Ability to work in an agile environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

This is a Full time permanent Contract (On Site) based at our COS Head Office in London.
