The Retail Lead is responsible for leading and developing the sales strategy for the Retail Channel at a national level, managing Pharmacy Chain, Self-service store, and regional pharmacy channels. This role involves managing key accounts, driving revenue growth, build strong relationships with customers, and ensure successful execution of sales initiatives.
Is responsible to lead the KAM & KAE team to achieve company targets in revenue with focus on customer sell out performance. The retail lead must have a strong background in sales leadership, business development, and strategic planning within the retail sector and pharmaceutical industry. This position must have out of the box thinking and full accountability for delivering targets with focus on solutions.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Commercial Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement jointly with trade marketing national commercial strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
Identify new business opportunities and drive market or portfolio expansion within the retail channel.
Understand Market trends, brand strategies and customer needs to adjust strategies accordingly.
Account & Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
Negotiate annual plans, pricing, and terms & conditions to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
Work closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, sales and finance) to ensure alignment and execution of business objectives.
Team Leadership & Performance Management:
Lead-coach and develop a high performing sales team.
Participate on sales targets definition, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback to ensure team success.
Support and guide direct team to achieve company targets.
Operational & Financial Management
Develop along with sales and marketing team the annual sales target.
Budget Management (GTN) ensuring efficiency and profitability with ROI thinking.
Analyze sales data, to present insights to senior management.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
Bachelor`s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
+5 years of experience in sales leadership, preferably within retail channel.
+10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/consumer industry.
Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
Intermediate – Advance excel.
Fluent English.
Availability for national travel as required.
