Retail Lending Supervisor

FUNCTION: Reports directly to the Fulfillment Manager and assumes responsibility for the daily supervision of one department including but not limited to closing, analysts, underwriting or client service coordinators function and staff. Ensures efficient and accurate transaction processing and satisfactory customer service. May assume responsibility for assisting in managing vendor relationships with third party service providers. Works closely with all parties to ensure timely closing and orderly flow of consumer and mortgage loans through the pipeline.
Acquires and maintains knowledge of specific loan origination functions as well as all federal and state regulations, investor and bank policies and requirements.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
+ Completes all aspects of employee performance management including assessing, goal setting, development, corrective action and coaching.
+ Completes staff requisitions ensuring the best qualified candidate is selected for the open position.
+ Leads the review, revisions and improvement of procedures for all assigned functions.
+ Maintains a working knowledge of regulatory requirements and secondary market guidelines.
+ Monitors staff compliance with all applicable governing regulations, policies and procedures.
+ Collaborates, directs, develops and assess all training plans of subordinates.
+ Continual assessing of workflow, procedures, communications for improvement and effectiveness.
+ Approves loans within designated loan authority.
+ Informs management of problems, developments, recommendations, enhancements pertaining to loan origination support of new customer products and services.
+ Assist in developing, maintaining, analyzing, and modifying vendor relationships with third party service providers necessary to support new loan production.
+ Maintains working knowledge of the Bank's loan processing systems
+ Collaborates with Loan Services Management to integrate and facilitate workflow between areas of responsibility.
+ Directs the implementation of new products, systems, procedures and policies to improve existing operations.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Requirements:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required, college, business or banking professional training helpful.
+ College/Business Degree or Banking Professional experience preferred.
+ Two years + supervisory experience preferred.
+ Three years + loan origination experience preferred.
+ Personal computer proficiency required.
+ Ability to handle complex problems required
+ Strong communication skills, verbal and written required.
Physical Demands/Conditions Requirements:
+ General office environment.
+ Moderate lifting (to 35 lbs.) required. Moderate reaching, walking, sitting and standing required.
