Retail Marketing Intern (AY 24-25 901912)

Assist in bolstering business services for our cherished college establishments, including Snowbowl, Ralph Myhre Golf Course, Rikert Outdoor Center, and Middlebury College Store. Interns will collaborate with the college's marketing professor, the Business Services marketing manager, and the College Marketing team to enhance awareness and engagement in the esteemed retail operations, targeting students, the mid-Vermont community, and other relevant segments. This role aims to boost advance ticket/pass sales and attract more visitors to the esteemed retail operations.

Compensation for this position aligns with Level A of the student wage scale.

Job Responsibilities may include

Marketing Strategy Development: Collaborate with the college marketing professor and the Business Services marketing manager to assist in the creation and execution of marketing strategies for Snowbowl, Ralph Myhre, Golf Course, Rikert Outdoor Center, and Middlebury College Store. Audience Engagement: Work closely with the College Marketing team to increase awareness and engagement in the retail operations among various target audiences, including students, the mid-Vermont community, and other relevant segments. Promotional Campaigns: Contribute to the planning, implementation, and monitoring of promotional campaigns aimed at boosting advance ticket/pass sales and attracting more visitors to the esteemed retail establishments. Content Creation: Assist in the development of compelling marketing content, including social media posts, blog articles, and visual materials, to effectively communicate the value and offerings of the college's cherished retail operations. Market Research: Conduct research to gain insights into market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies and decision-making. Data Analysis: Analyze data and metrics related to marketing efforts to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for improvement. Collaboration and Communication: Maintain open communication with team members, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment and coordination of marketing initiatives. Event Support: Assist in organizing and promoting events and activities related to the retail operations, including special promotions, product launches, and community engagement initiatives. Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from customers and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and innovative ideas to enhance the retail experience. Budget Management: Help in managing the allocated marketing budget efficiently, ensuring resources are used effectively to achieve marketing goals. Documentation: Maintain records of marketing activities, campaign performance, and relevant reports for future reference and analysis. Adherence to Policies: Ensure compliance with all college policies, guidelines, and ethical standards in marketing and promotional activities. Professional Development: Stay updated on industry trends and marketing best practices through continuous learning and professional development.
