ABOUT LOVESHACKFANCY
LoveShackFancy began in 2013 with a beach-to-ballroom hand-dyed halter dress that founder and creative director Rebecca Hessel Cohen made for her bridal party. Over time, that one article of clothing, created to celebrate love, has turned into a world filled with all things romantic, dreamy and drenched in optimism — from clothing to tabletop, bedding, swim, ski, travel accessories, shoes and more.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Retail Operations Manager will report into the Director of Retail Operations while supporting the DTC Team and store fleet. The Retail Operations Manager will flawlessly execute a range of duties including (but not limited to) managing the company collateral program, store facilities and maintenance, store inventory, project managing New Store Openings as it pertains to Retail Operations, Operational Trainings, and maintaining retail policy & procedure manuals with the constant goal of preserving and protecting the company inventory and improving?retail?operations.?
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
New Store Openings/Pop Ups:
+ Manage NSO Budget as it pertains to Supplies, It Equipment, PIPP, Systems, Vinyls, and others as needed and communicated
+ Has strong business acumen to analyze spend and make recommendation for efficiencies
+ Responsible for cross-functional communication from pre-opening to post-opening
+ Manage the new store opening process of receiving shipment and setting up BOH, store systems, and operational trainings for new store team
+ Present the technology footprint for all store initiatives: NSO’s, Relocations, Renovations, & Pop-Ups
+ Partner in the execution new/ad hoc concepts
+ Uphold vendor relationships to ensure proper installs mitigating issues and risks to timelines
+ Support onsite as needed throughout the NSO process
+ Responsible for leading store operations trainings during new store openings inclusive of systems, policy and procedure review, etc.
+ Support to ensure effective project management of store projects; pop ups, expansions and/or renovations.
+ Partner with VM in coordinating small scale layout improvements such as fixture reconfigurations and special project installs
Policy and Procedures:
+ Manage all updates and training related to the Retail Policy and Procedure, BOH SOP’s and company operational standards / practices
+ Ensure all retail operational policies and procedures are kept up to date and adhered to
+ Develop a strategy to measure and ensure all employees are trained in these operations policies and procedures. this includes new hires as well as tenured employees.
+ Ensure all policies are enforced by management throughout the fleet
+ Ensure stores are audit-ready at all times
+ Other duties as needed
Store Facilities:
+ Keep an overview of store maintenance requests while managing the repairs and maintenance budget. Disseminate the information to the appropriate parties and keep overview to ensure completion
+ Ensure Regional Managers and Retail Managers are maintaining the interior and exterior of all stores. Work closely with Retail Operations Associate in reference or tickets and timely resolution to issues
+ Review all cost proposals; challenging when needed
+ Maintain status update of costs and review with Director of Retail Operations as needed
+ Manage retail vendor relationships.
Retail Performance & Standards
+ Provide?clear feedback?and?regular coaching in reference to retail operations to Regional Managers, Store Managers, and Stock Associates
+ Ensure proper upkeep of performance tools: Prodco, Teamwork, Dashboard, Tulip
+ Evaluate operations in the stores on a regular basis and make process improvements and recommendations to promote efficiency
+ Support company initiatives and strategies, provide recommendations, and train and implement as necessary
+ Ensures impeccable back-of-house standards and processes are trained to and adhered to in stores
+ Own the operational training process of all new hires as it pertains to Store Managers
Financial:
+ Ensure stores control store operational expenses and keep accurate records i.e. store supply budget & NSO budget
+ Ensure proper procedures are being met in reference to cash (cash pick up), credit cards, and petty cash
+ Manage and maintain inventory controls in reference to physical inventory, stock adjustments, cycle counts, reconciliation, and other duties
+ Work with DTC team to resolve inventory issues/answer questions to support?retail?stores and distribution center
+ Report on shrink, damages, known loss for stores and the impact on inventory each month and at the end of every year
+ Support DTC and Store Management with the scheduling and coordination of inventory and cycle counts.
+ Provide support and training to stores as it relates to proper inventory preparation.
+ Assist store teams in reconciling inventory discrepancies.
+ Ensure accurate monthly cycle counts are completed and negative on-hands reconciled weekly
+ Partner with DTC teams and support end-of-season RTVs and Transfers as necessary
Asset Protection:
+ Support asset protection in all areas of risk management, physical security, store cash controls, inventory management, inter-store communication, and audits.
+ Support training in asset protection
+ Information Systems
+ Train retail team on the pos system / omnichannel process / and all in-store technology
+ Partner with internal and external IT and Systems Applications partners to ensure efficiency and use of all in-store technology
+ Support stores on training of new system roll-outs
SKILLS, QUALITIES & BEHAVIOURS
+ At least 2 years of experience in Retail Operation Management
+ Experience with new store openings
+ Must be highly proficient in Excel
+ Must have a critical eye for process and accuracy
+ Possess a high sense of urgency
+ Fluent in working with multiple departments and various levels
+ Critical thinker with an affinity for IT and systems
+ 50% travel required
+ Ability to commute to Head Office in NYC up to 5 days per week

Salary Description
$80,000 - $85,000
