This is a salaried position. Overview Variable schedule with weekend rotation. Hours of operation are Monday-Saturday 8:00am-10:00pm and Sunday 10:00am-10:00pm POSITION SUMMARY: The Retail Pharmacist reviews prescriptions, obtains clarifications and analyzes drug therapy. Responsible for compounding and dispensing medications according to established policies and procedures of the professional of pharmacy. Supervises pharmacy technicians in the preparation of medication. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Licenses/Certifications: PHRM-Pharmacist Experience: 3 years of experience in Retail Pharmacy Other skills/knowledge: Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and various other medical personnel when explaining medication use and gathering and exchanging other medication information. Analytical skills necessary in order to determine drug appropriateness and evaluate drug interactions. Strong customer service skills. Ability to multi-task. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD.) Experience: Retail pharmacy experience Other skills/knowledge: Working knowledge of the QS/1 retail computer system.
