This position to hire for a pharmacy technician to work a PRN schedule (as needed) and will be scheduled to work to assist with the coverage of when staff is out on leave, paid time off, out sick or when the pharmacy is need of coverage. Pharmacy hours are 9:00am-7:00pm Monday-Friday; 9:00m-5:00pm Saturday and Sunday. POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for assisting Pharmacists in processing provider medication orders utilizing prescribed procedures under the supervision of a Pharmacist. Work involves standing, lifting and walking continually while in the process of performing duties. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma/ GED, At least 18 years of age Licensure/ Certification: PHTC-Pharmacy Tech, PHCT2 - Pharmacy Tech Certification, Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) validated by PTCB or National Healthcareer Certification, or Active Pharmacy student with Pharmacy Technician (PHTC) student license Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience: 1 year pharmacy experience Other Skills/ Knowledge: Demonstrates knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical terminology. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
