Monday-Friday 11:00am-7:30pm; every 6th weekend, weekend hours are Saturday 8:00am-4:30pm and Sunday 10:00am-6:30pm POSITION SUMMARY: The Retail Pharmacy Technician is responsible for performing general duties, including operating cash register, stocking supplies and merchandise, billing and filling prescriptions, and answering telephone calls. Work involves standing, lifting and walking continually while in the process of performing duties Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: At least 16 years of age and is attending or graduated from an accredited high school or comparable school or educational institution or GED Licenses/Certifications: Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) validated by PTCB or National Healthcareer Certification within 2 years of initial licensure or within 2 years of hire, if the original date of Illinois Pharmacy Technician license is prior to January 1, 2008 Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: At least 18 years of age and a high school diploma or equivalent 1 year pharmacy experience Other requirements/information: Demonstrates ability to perform and apply arithmetic calculations.
