Retail Regional Sales Manager

Salary range:

140,000.00 - 175,000.00

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS:

Visionary: Develops and deploys an innovative blueprint for their region that features top talent, impressive operations, strategic plans, best-in-class problem-solving, and product merchandising to meet and exceed goals. Leverages their strategic skills, adaptability, and operational agility to execute their vision and run their fleet of best-in-class stores. Also participates in and contributes to a variety of special projects and task forces for the retail division and company at large.

Entrepreneur: Drives their region to meet and exceed sales and metrics goals and guides their team in addressing and correcting store performance challenges. Ensures their team is proactively building their sales and conversion by localizing and tailoring their assortment and merchandising to their customers’ wants and needs, with the partnership and oversight of retail store operations, senior retail leadership, and the buying and P&A team. Maximizes profitability and a healthy balance sheet by keeping costs and loss in line with goals. Escalates and proactively informs senior retail leadership, store operations, and partners of conditions in their region, highlighting market intelligence and wins & obstacles in stores. Share ideas and solutions with these stakeholders early and often to overcome challenges and elevate company performance.

People Champion: Always insists on recruiting and hiring top talent and consistently engages their network for referrals. Develops, coaches, and mentors their District Sales Managers and Store Teams to meet their full potential and outperform the competition. Has a succession plan at all times and proactively leads, advises, and guides performance coaching to help our team meet challenges and excel. Enthusiastically builds morale, champions their teams’ ideas, and displays transparent, open communication to ensure an excellent employee experience and engagement. Leverages and collaborates with their talent partners to elevate succession, morale, acquisition of external talent, internal career growth, and performance coaching.

Merchant: Translates and trains their team on the company’s strategic objectives within the product, in-store marketing, community events, shopping experience, etc. Ensures their region of stores is a delight to shop and that conversion and customer experience are top-notch. Drives market share growth by partnering with senior retail leadership, store ops, and the buying and P&A team to acquire customer-desired products and/or localize their assortment. Creates and deploys community events that build customer loyalty, acquire new customers, and increase sales. Analyzes and assesses their local competition to ensure we compete and win with the right store experience.

Expert: Leverages their deep wealth of retail knowledge and their extensive network of internal partners to solve problems and remove obstacles for their team, regardless of operational challenges or circumstances beyond their control. Brilliantly shifts gears to respond to sudden changes or demands from corporate HQ and teaches their team how to pivot effectively, staying flexible to the ever-evolving retail landscape. Drives compliance with policy and procedure and ensures their team applies those policies consistently.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leads a team of multi-state District Managers and a network of up to 100 stores.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Retail Leadership is in your blood! You’ve led a multi-state retail territory and have a proven track record of exceeding sales and metrics targets. Equally adept at sales, people, product, and operations, you’ve trained and developed countless retail leaders, including District Managers, to their own accolades and career growth. You insist on solid plans and long-term strategies, but still understand the fast-moving world of retail and you’re always adaptable and flexible to the unexpected and unforeseen. You also leverage and value your business partners across all functions and will do whatever it takes to build, maintain, or grow exceptional relationships to drive your business forward. You’re known for transparent, open communication and enthusiastic leadership that your team appreciates and you have the retention numbers to prove it. You’re a retail systems veteran with strong technological savvy and learn new retail systems and applications rapidly. Finally, your grit and resilience are well-honed and you’re happy to be a road warrior, traveling up to 80% by car, air, or rail as needed. This position is based in Florida.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree preferred, though not required.

5+ years of experience in multi-unit retail leadership; prior Regional Level experience strongly preferred. Deep

expertise in retail sales, product merchandising, store operations, and talent development.

Strong, demonstrable expertise in retail systems, technology,y, and applications.

QUALIFICATIONS:
