Job Description

Summary 

It is the Retail Sales Associate’s responsibility to make a life-long customer, not just a sale. Providing product knowledge to the customer allowing them to make a series of buying decisions which are mutually beneficial to the customer, and the store. Selling responsibilities include keeping merchandise folded and stocked neatly. Maintaining a clean work environment. 

The budgeted pay rate for this position is $21.00 per hour. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience.

Essential Job Functions 

Knowledge and selling merchandise carried in the stores, and services provided by the Aspen Skiing Company Acquire and retain detailed Rental and Retail product knowledge to best serve guests and to help achieve departmental sales goals Controlling and helping in loss and theft prevention Responsible for booking lessons, powder tours, First Tracks, and other ski related activities Assist in coffee bar as needed, making drinks and working in a food and beverage capacity Assisting Adventure Concierge with lift, lesson and rental sales Maintaining a clean work environment through folding merchandise on the retail floor and stockrooms.  Cleaning dressing rooms of hangers, tags, and properly putting away merchandise after each use of the dressing room Keep guest refreshment area replenished, clean and restocked for the next day Provide guest with refreshments Help with opening and closing cleaning duties Organize merchandise and accept delivery of product Enthusiasm and knowledge of the Aspen skiing and snowboarding lifestyle Other duties and responsibilities as assigned 

QualificationsPrior retail selling experience and product knowledge preferred Excellent customer service skills RTP software knowledge a plus NetSuite software knowledge preferred Must be computer literate 

Additional Information

Supervision Given and Received  
Supervision Given: Supervision Given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.  
Supervision Received: Works under direct supervision of the ASPENX General Manager. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available. 
 
Work Environment and Physical Demands  

Ability to stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time. Kneeling and bending may be required Regularly work indoors with no adverse conditions. Some positions require exposure to outdoor elements or a combination of both indoors and outdoors and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces   Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
