Location: US based position. Tampa, FL and Jacksonville, FL offices are preferred - also open to offices in Charlotte, NC and Bloomington, MN

Type: Contractual (1 year) , potential to extend

Hybrid mode: 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely

Job Brief:

We are looking for a Retail Space Planning Manager to join our North American Space Team and play a critical role in the implementation of RELEX Space planning software. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, will be detail and action oriented and have proven expertise in space planning tools. This role requires the ability to understand category strategies, analyze consumer trends and transactional data as well as defining KPI’s and standards for planogramming capabilities. It involves being an active member of the cross-functional team leading the project RELEX Space & Floor implementation. It also involves working with Category Management, Merchandising and Operations teams as part of the journey to design planograms strategies, improve product visibility, and boost sales.

Responsibilities

Supporting the implementation of space planning software (RELEX) in North America, through UAT, pilot and roll-out phases.Acting as space management software expert / power user, having the ability to train people and lean in and execute and elevate the team’s Planogram designing work as neededEnsuring the project work is tied to corporate and store strategy as well as industry best practices for space and assortment localizationContribute to developing reporting capabilities for Space & Floor key metrics, to measure category and item performance and inform decision making.Supporting the execution of space management enabling projects, including POG gathering, design, measurement, pre- and post-project analysis and presentation of resultsWorking cross-functionally with Category Management, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Operations, among other partners, to ensure alignment with business goals.Identify opportunities and make recommendations to improve existing processes or create new ones.Support training for the Merchandising organization on space planning processes, planogram compliance and implementation.Support the maintenance of space planning resource library/repository for the category(ies) under their responsibilityStay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in space planning, incorporating relevant insights into strategic planning efforts

Qualifications 

Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, Retail, Analytics or related fieldMinimum 5 years of work experience, with at least 3 in CPG Category Management or Retail Space PlanningProven track record of optimizing product placement, contributing to category growth and performance.Blueyonder / RELEX space-planning proficiency (certification is highly desired)Strong analytics background, with a demonstrated ability to seek and use a variety of data (first party, syndicated, etc.) to elevate the space planning functionAbility to deal well with ambiguity, complexity, change and fast pace. Comfortable managing multiple projects and tasks, prioritizing amongst them.Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with strong ability to translate between business users and other technical teams.Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, Word, etc.Experience working with floor-planning teams and software is an advantageAbility to thrive in a hybrid environment (on-site and virtual), with teams located remotely.Flexibility around working hours required, working with teams across time zonesAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-orientated environmentTravel required 15% of time, some international. Passport or travel documentation/visa required.
