Retail Store Manager - Legacy Place

The Opportunity

You will create a delightful and inspiring shopping experience for guests at the Garnet Hill retail store where visitors can touch, feel and purchase our women’s apparel and products for the home made from nature’s finest fibers including cashmere, linen and organic cotton. As the Store Manager, you will promote the Garnet Hill brand at every guest encounter and ensure your stellar team exemplifies brand values, standards, and experiences. Your leadership will guide company programs, increase sales, and set your store to exceed all expectations.

The hire location is Legacy Place in Dedham, MA – onsite.

To support this exciting expansion, we are looking for a motivated, team-oriented individual to join our retail team and lead our full-price bricks and mortar retail. If this sounds like you, we need to meet you!

Direct reports include Associate Store Manager, Sales/Receiving Lead, Sales/Design Associates.

Your Impact

Business Management/Guest Experience:

Develop and implement business action plans in collaboration with Garnet Hill corporate partners to drive sales, new customer acquisition and repeat purchases.Develop a strategy to increase sales and build guest loyalty through store programs such as community outreach, corporate and regional events throughout the year, etc.Support and improve retail sales and profitability by creating the most amazing place to work and shop by delivering an exceptional guest experienceGenerate sales from the Mix & Match Design Services area of the store for Garnet Hill bedding.Manage and support stock levels through direct communication with key corporate business partners on a weekly basis to maintain a high sell-through rate as well as alignment with new product launches.Recap monthly store performance and report on current business trends.Ensure all visual displays align with Garnet Hill brand guidelines and are updated regularly to reflect current promotions and product launches.Lead initiatives to enhance the in-store Guest experience, ensuring every interaction reflects the brand's standards of quality and service.Monitor Guest feedback and implement changes to address any issues or opportunities for improvement.

Recruiting & Onboarding:

Develop and implement year-round recruitment strategies to attract top talent.Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new associates are well-integrated into the brand's culture and values.

Team Member Development/Training:

Lead ongoing training programs focused on product knowledge, Guest service and selling techniques, and store operations and safety.Identify skill gaps and create development plans to upskill associates.Foster a positive work environment through team-building activities, recognition programs, and open communication channels.Implement initiatives to reduce turnover and enhance job satisfaction.Collaborate with Merchants, Inventory Planning, Marketing, Operations, Human Resources, Safety & Security, etc. while adhering and enforcing all company policies and procedures.

Workforce Planning:

Forecast and adjust monthly payroll to maximize productivity, achieve sales/payroll goals, and complete workload through effective scheduling.Optimize staffing levels to ensure efficient coverage during peak hours while controlling labor costs.Ensure proper staffing level for both store opening and closing.

What You Bring:

5+ years of management experience in specialty retail or multi-unit retail business environment.Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel Outlook, Kronos, and POS systems.Ability to be mobile on the salesfloor for an extended period of time.Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 50 lbs.The successful candidate must be a dynamic leader, strategic thinker, and highly motivated.College degree preferred.
