Job Description Insight Global is hiring a Retail/Store Technology Lead Engineer for a company dedicated to providing exceptional customer experiences through innovative technology solutions. The team is committed to leveraging the latest technologies to enhance the shopping experience for their customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture, and will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of cutting-edge technology solutions in our retail stores.  Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of Java developers.  Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.  Strong architecture and design skills with a track record of architecting and delivering distributed, cloud-based microservices, event-driven architectures and RESTful APIs.  Strong architecture, design and coding skills to build and integrate software with stores hardware peripherals like scanner, printer, etc. In depth knowledge of wired and wireless / Bluetooth architecture, network topology.  Develop and maintain scalable applications using Java with Spring Boot.  Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.  Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo and Bitbucket.  Implement and oversee code quality analysis using SonarQube.  Lead API development and integration processes for seamless service functionality.  Conduct comprehensive testing, including TDD approaches for unit and contract testing.  Utilize Google Cloud services (e.g., Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL) and transactional databases effectively.  Monitor application performance using tools like Grafana and Newrelic.  Troubleshoot and resolve production issues swiftly and effectively.  Proactively evaluate and adopt new technologies and tools to improve the systems performance, reliability and scalability.  Ability to guide the engineers, quickly troubleshoot, determine root cause and fix issues in a 24/7 on-call environment.
