Retail Supervisor

SUMMARY

The position supports Store’s Management by contributing to the successful operation of the store’s and implementation of strategies.  Objectives include, but are not limited to guest satisfaction and financial growth.  The supervisor may assume responsibility for the store’s in the absence of a manager’s. The Supervisor relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Contributes to stores financial growth through driving sales, managing expenses and implementing plans for increased profitability.  Is accountable for ensuring all operational standards are achieved.   Assists in the of store’s staff in sales to deliver exemplary customer service and meet sales goals. Executes flawless store visual presentation by maintaining visual and store housekeeping standards. Develops collaborative with Store’s Management and other store team members.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) 1 year of retail apparel experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions. Ability to operate a cash register, calculator, telephone and credit card machine to complete guest transactions. Ability to operate personal computer (to access & input information), in order to perform job functions and assist guests. Math skills sufficient to calculate charges and make change.

 ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including evening and weekend shifts.

EDUCATION

High school diploma required. Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Must possess interpersonal skills to deal effectively with business contacts and employees at all levels of the company.   Must possess a strong attention to detail and presentation skills.

Results oriented, hands-on professional with the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees. Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to create and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions through decisive judgment. Ability to interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION

Must obtain and maintain appropriate licensing with Alcohol Awareness Card.

Other Qualifications

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products:  Word and Outlook. Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekend hours and overtime as business needs dictate.
