Job Overview:

The Retail Training Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive training program aimed at enhancing employee performance and ensuring consistency in operations across all locations. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a passion for fostering employee development. This includes designing curriculum, creating training materials, and delivering training sessions to ensure that employees have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide exceptional customer service and drive sales.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Develop Training Programs - Design, implement, and evaluate training curricula tailored to various roles within the dealerships, including sales consultants, service advisors, and management. Ensure training materials are up-to-date, relevant, and tailored to meet the specific needs of GP1. Collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to identify training needs and opportunities for improvementTraining Delivery - Lead the delivery of training sessions, workshops, and on-the-job training initiatives in various field locations. - Utilize diverse training methods, including hands-on training, e-learning, and group activities, to cater to different learning stylesEvaluation and Continuous Improvement - Establish metrics to assess the effectiveness of training programs and make data-driven adjustments as necessary. Collect feedback from trainees and stakeholders to continually refine and enhance training contentTeam Leadership - Manage a team of trainers and ensure they have the resources, support, and guidance needed to succeed. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the training teamCross-Department Collaboration - Work closely with all departments to align training initiatives with organizational strategies and employee engagement effortsCompliance and Standards - Ensure all training programs comply with industry regulations and organizational policies. Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in retail training and the automotive industry to ensure programs remain cutting-edge and impactful

Project Management Responsibilities:

Lead and manage key training projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and objectives are metDevelop detailed project plans, set clear milestones, and track progress to ensure on-time delivery of training programsTrack and report on project performance, using data-driven insights to optimize the delivery and impact of training initiatives

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in education, Business Administration, or a related field Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in training and development, with a focus on field training Strong leadership abilities and experience managing a teamSuccessful track record of delivering projects, managing multiple priorities, and meeting deadlines and quality standardsStrong organizational skills to handle various training projects and teams across different locationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills - Proficiency in training software and Learning Management Systems (LMS)Ability to travel frequently to various field locations

 

Preferred Skills:

Experience in designing blended learning programs Strong analytical skills to measure program effectiveness
