Aon is looking for a Retirement Benefits Analyst This is a Hybrid Role with the Flexibility to work both home and in the office from our Bloomington, MN office. Skills and experience that will lead to success Pension and other retirement plans have enormous financial implications for employers. Analysts within Retirement Consulting work directly with our clients’ management teams to assess the short and long-term costs associated with these commitments. Job Responsibilities Retirement Benefits Analysts within our Wealth practice Consulting have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that support our clients and internal client teams. These projects include: Completing benefit calculations and/or being the reviewer of calculations Understanding defined benefit pension plan rules and communicating with plan participants and client contacts Project management for ongoing pension administration support and on-boarding new clients Review, analysis, and reconciliation of participant data Assisting actuarial consultants to help our clients with day-to-day pension issues and questions Other projects that may require analysis of large volumes of participant records and/or benefit calculations Candidates are expected to have the following qualifications and/or experience: Undergraduate degree or equivalent industry experience (Statistics, Economics, Mathematics) Preferred Defined Benefit Pension Experience but not required 2+ years of relevant experience Excellent focus with attention to detail Independent learner of technical topics and concepts Seeks and shares ideas for continuous improvement of processes and procedures Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills Excellent written and oral communication skills How we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce. Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position intended for U.S. applicants is $68,000 to $90,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of State/Region. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
