As one of our Retirement Plan Counselors, you’ll lead sales initiatives in the Retirement Plan Sales market, identifying firm and firm representatives’ needs and coordinating efforts to serve those needs. You’ll partner with Wealth Management Wholesalers to manage Capital Client Group (American Funds Distributions) presence, relationships, and drive business results with key brokerage firm representatives. Your territory will cover the Greater Los Angeles, Inland Empire, and Hawaii area.
You excel at delivering motivational and informative presentations. You’re motivated by setting goals and measuring your performance against them. You apply a consultative skillset to sell through financial intermediaries and work collaboratively with other senior sales force members to identify opportunities for better Plan Sponsor and investor outcomes.

You have a broad knowledge and proven track record of sales success in the mutual fund business and retirement plan sales, and the demonstrated ability to build long-term relationships.
You know how to leverage technological resources to create custom analysis.
You are an excellent communicator and have significant sales experience in the registered investment advisor space.
You’re well-versed in synthesizing information and presenting it in a distilled manner. You have a series 7, 63, and 66 licenses or equivalent, as well as one or more of the following designations AIF, AIFA, PPC, CIMA, and CFA.
Capital Group is required by state specific laws to include the salary for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The base salary for this role is $75,000 + applicable sales commissions and bonuses. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
