Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the electro-mechanical assembly and testing of medical devices and components using hand tools. This role involves soldering and testing sensor and electrical assemblies, making repairs, and maintaining small tools, fixtures, and equipment used in the manufacturing of medical devices. You will also be required to use MS Word and Excel for documentation and reporting.
ResponsibilitiesPerform electro-mechanical assembly and testing of medical devices and components using hand tools.Solder and test sensor and electrical assemblies.Make, repair, and maintain small tools, fixtures, and equipment used in manufacturing.Use MS Word and Excel to complete documentation and reporting.Utilize basic inspection test equipment such as multi-meters, calipers, bore & ID gages, depth and height gages, and Agilent data loggers.Support manufacturing engineers by performing testing and other tasks.Familiarize with GMP environment and read schematics, machine/component, and assembly drawings.Organize and maintain engineering shop space.Maintain inventory and purchase consumable shop supplies and small tools.Perform quality control inspections on incoming materials.Maintain device and material inspection/history records using good manufacturing and documentation practices recognized by US FDA and ISO organizations.Work under minimum supervision with a high degree of organizational and technical competence.Essential Skills5 years of experience as a manufacturing technician or in a related field.Proficiency in assembly, troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical repairs, and using hand tools.Experience with reading engineering drawings.Good computer keyboard skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsMedical device experience preferred.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Why Work Here?

Open assembly room environment with sewing machines along one side of the room and assembly tables next to them. The facility is clean and well-lit, providing a comfortable workspace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minnetonka, Minnesota.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00
