Description We are in search of a Revenue Accountant to join our team based in Dallas, Texas. This role is centered within the industry, where you will be tasked with recording property revenue, maintaining spreadsheets, and preparing necessary journal entries. This is a great opportunity for someone who is skilled in accounting software systems, ERP solutions, and billing functions. Responsibilities: • Efficiently handle the recording of both operated and non-operated property revenue • Update and maintain Excel spreadsheets to account for any changes, whether they be contractual, regulatory, or purchaser-related • Regularly prepare revenue-related journal entries • Take responsibility for the preparation, processing, and payment of severance taxes • File regulatory reports and ensure the timely payment of GLO and UT Lands royalties • Submit federal and Texas processed gas and natural gas liquids reports • Conduct monthly variance analysis and reconcile revenue accounts receivable accounts for oil and gas purchasers • Manage the ongoing adjustments of prior periods • Seamlessly integrate acquisitions into the monthly revenue process • Assist in the monthly close process and annual audits • Respond to owner inquiries and review their contents • Undertake ad hoc projects as directed by management Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential • Must have experience with BlackLine • Familiarity with Cerner Technologies is required • Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary • Experience with ERP Solutions is important • Proficiency in Accounting Functions is essential • Must be skilled in Accounts Receivable (AR) • Familiarity with Accrual Accounting is a must • Auditing skills are required • Experience with Billing Functions is necessary.
