Position

Title: Revenue Accountant

Location: Remote/Home North Carolina ( Raleigh)

 

Riverbed is seeking a Revenue Accountant who will be responsible for ensuring the accurate recording of revenue-related transactions in accordance with the Company’s revenue policy. The role will be responsible for reviewing customer contracts as well as analyzing key revenue metrics and results. This is a great chance to work for a fast paced, high growth company with ample room to make a difference.  This position reports to the Revenue Accounting Manager.

 

What you will do

 

Analyze sales transactions within the Company’s revenue sub-ledger to ensure the accuracy of data and integrity of revenue schedules, inclusive of revenue allocationsResponsible for month end and quarter end close activities including preparation of revenue journal entries, account reconciliations of revenue and deferred revenue accountsPerform contract review and analysis relating to new sales and non-standard orders to ensure revenue recognition is in accordance with ASC 606Prepare monthly/quarterly compliance reportingPrepare management reports including revenue analysisAssist with quarterly and annual external audit requestsAssist in the month end and quarter end close activitiesContribute to the development of policies and procedures to streamline the revenue accounting processesParticipate in the implementation of systems to support the Company’s adoption of ASC 606Proactively identify system improvement initiativesProvide revenue recognition guidance to cross-functional organizationsMaintain revenue accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure FASB, GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley complianceProvide support for various ad-hoc projects What makes you an ideal candidate Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting requiredCPA Preferred3+ years of applicable revenue recognition experience within the technology sectorStrong analytical, financial, and accounting knowledge and practical experience/knowledge of ASC 606 preferredAdvanced Excel skills, with a propensity for understanding CRM and ERP systems. NetSuite and SalesForce.com experience preferred. ARM/ RevPro experience a plus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with all levels of the companyStrong attention to detail, well organized, and able to multi-task and work effectively in a high-paced environmentA highly productive self-starter with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence Capable of moving between a variety of roles with ease What we offer
