Revenue Accounting Manager
This position is a hybrid role requiring employees to work from our headquarters location in Seattle, WA every Tuesday and Wednesday, and remote all other days.

As Revenue Accounting Manager you will lead an incredible team of five who ensure everything associated with Redfin revenue is accounted for correctly, from revenue recognition through receipt of proceeds and collection of AR balances. This person works closely with the finance department as well as others across the organization. Additionally,  and also manages various Treasury responsibilities. , intercompany revenue and eliminations, journal entry approvals, review of select account reconciliations, creation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures relevant to their area, and responsibility for related SOX controls. This position reports to the Director of Finance.

The Role 

Obtain revenue by processing invoices, resolving missed payments, and updating financial records through Netsuite and our CRM.

Serve as the subject matter expert on Redfin pricing policies for all of Redfin’s services and be able to address tickets when questions arise.

Lead Revenue Accounting Team and ensure Team Members are growing and progressing in their careers. 

Manage Revenue recognition and collection processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

Ensure revenue processes are Sox compliant and administered effectively.

Actively manage the AR Aging to ensure Redfin is being paid timely and reach out when balances are outstanding.

Manage the monthly close process and reconciliations related to the Revenue Accounting Team.

Who you are 

You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field; Master’s Degree is a plus

You have 4+ years in an accounting or analytical role, with an emphasis on revenue accounting including revenue recognition processes, managing deposits, Accounts Receivable Management, journal entry processing, accruals, and account reconciliations.

You’re an expert in Excel, with experience in the eCommerce industry (or other fast-paced startup environment)

You have experience partnering with other finance team members and cross functional

business partners in the preparation of monthly close cycles and participate in the review of monthly financial reporting packages.

You have strong accounting skills and experience supporting year-end audit and quarterly reviews of financial statements by outside auditors.

You also have experience with the documentation and performance of internal controls and compliance with SOX 404 for all managed processes.

The compensation information is provided in compliance with job posting disclosure requirements in Hawaii, Colorado, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington, California and Washington, DC.

Base Pay Range: $103,300.00 - 154,700.00. Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including the position, location, individual qualifications, market finances, and other operational business needs. Depending on the position, compensation may also include commissions, bonuses, and equity. Potential for quarterly bonuses based on company performance. Potential for merit increases and stock grants based on performance.
