Revenue Accounting Manager

About This Role As a Revenue Accounting Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in assisting clients in a variety of projects and the delivery of effective month-end processes that support business objectives and operational needs. What You Will Work On Month-End Close (MEC) Process:Collaborate with the team to book manual journal entries (JEs) when system failures prevent automated postings.Work with the engineering team to identify the root cause of system failures, calculate accurate posting amounts, and coordinate with the team for proper journal postings.Ensure timely delivery of all MEC-related tasks, even if it requires working beyond normal business hours.Post-MEC Responsibilities:Follow up with engineering teams on the status of production fixes or User Acceptance Testing (UAT) results.Validate corrections to ensure accurate and complete production adjustments.Conduct ad-hoc analysis, audits, and reporting activities, including: Pulling Cloud revenue data for specific periods .Performing system reconciliations to ensure data accuracy. Delivering reports and analyses to support the controllership team.
What You Will Bring Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field and 10 years of relevant experienceExperience applying revenue recognition standard ASC 606Month-End Close Expertise: Strong experience in revenue recognition, deferred revenue, unbilled receivables, or other balance sheet . (Experience with backlog and Cloud environments is a plus.)GAAP Knowledge: Solid understanding of accounting principles and standards.SQL Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to write and run SQL queries, join data tables, review SQL scripts, and identify missing fields to ensure accurate financial reporting.Organization & Communication: Highly organized, proactive, and capable of effectively communicating across engineering and controllership functions.Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Able to handle ambiguity and perform well under pressure during MEC.Flexibility: Willing to work outside normal business hours when necessary to meet tight deadlines.
