Revenue Auditor

Compensation: $18.00 per hour

Position Summary:

Under direct supervision of the Finance Director, the Audit Clerk is responsible for updating and maintaining accounting records, verifying records posted by other workers, and checking figures and documents to ensure they are accurate and coded properly. Audits specific assigned revenue and cost centers. Makes notations of error for future corrections.

Note: Native American preference will be given.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Audit and reconcile casino cage and all gaming areas daily. Review source documents for compliance to control standards and company policy. Prepare daily gaming and analysis reports. Verify and record revenue from gaming areas. Prepare discrepancy reports for audit exception reports. Prepare slot gaming tax reports. Review Federal tax reporting documents. Review Title 31 reporting documents. Assists in preparation of financial reporting as required. Perform spreadsheet evaluation of various financial operations Maintain custody and control of coupons both issued and unissued. Secure and maintain financial original documents. Verify revenue posting and paid-out documentation. Up hold all documents and records to company policies/procedures and internal controls.

Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education:

High School Diploma/GED equivalent or any combination of education and experience totaling two (2) years.

Procedures and record keeping.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Experience Casino Gaming or related field.

Minimum Qualifications:

At least two years related experience and/or a combination of experience.

Knowledge of basic math and basic business English.

Must work quickly and accurately.

Must be computer literate and able to operate a 10-key adding machine.

Knowledgeable in using Microsoft Office platforms.

Communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing.

Must be able to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Must be 21 years of age or older.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Tesuque Gaming Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

None relating to this position at this time.

Physical Requirements: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and walk for extended periods. The employee occasionally is required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee will be required to talk for extended periods and must be able to hear and understand. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to ten (10) pounds.  The incumbent occasionally exposed to loud noise, change in temperatures, and second-hand smoke.

Work Environment: 

Work is generally performed in a casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level. Due to the nature and scope of this position, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours and irregular shifts will be required.
