Revenue Cycle Analyst

The Revenue Cycle Reporting Analyst is an integral member of the PMG Finance Department.  At a high level, this position should be able to develop the skills to identify a Professional Revenue Cycle business problem, identify the data that would be required to determine the root cause and financial impact of the problem, develop reporting to clearly illustrate the problem, and publish/communicate the results. Using revenue cycle performance data, this position is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve up front patient collections, throughput (clean claims) and maximize fee for service payments by monitoring yield, denials, and controllable write-offs. This resource should also have a strong technical aptitude to learn new tools quickly, and have the ability to teach others how to use the tool.

This position is responsible for providing analytical support for revenue cycle improvement projects and workflows in partnership with R1, Practice Efficiency and clinic operations across all professional billing for Alaska. This position is a key knowledge resource on revenue cycle performance for clinic managers, supervisors, and the business office. Additionally, this position will create, publish and maintain revenue cycle reporting data – analyzing trends to identify areas of opportunity for billing, productivity and performance. Occasionally, this position may be asked to lead small projects related to revenue cycle optimization, requiring the ability to plan and execute the project, communicate with clinic departments, and clearly communicate progress and outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, healthcare administration or related field or In lieu of a bachelor's degree, the position requires a minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare system. Experience in Professional Billing Revenue Cycle management is preferred 3 years Experience in Health Care Industry or related field. Physician Office. Revenue Cycle. Physician or Hospital Billing. Health Insurance. Outpatient ambulatory. Clinical Quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in project management, information technologies, quality improvement, healthcare administration, and analytics.
