Responsibilities Submission of all billingsPaper billing submissionElectronic billing submissionsWeb Portal billing submissionsFollow billing schedule to ensure claims are billed in a timely mannerReview and maintain all denials received via mail and WaystarReview and correct all rejections within 24 hours in Waystar and state web portalsSubmit claims for rebills within timely filing limitsCommunicate all denials to business managers, that cannot be reconciled by billing team/ supervisor and revenue cycle managerAssist with month end close as neededWill need to be cross trained to ensure coverage if a need arisesReview unbilled report and units no charges report daily at least weekly and make appropriate adjustmentsOther duties as assigned Qualifications At least two years healthcare care billing, private insurance and/or federally funded programs preferredKnowledge of Waystar beneficialKnowledge of multiple state billing portals, experience in reading and understanding remits for denial reasonsComply with HIPPA regulationsStrong/professional communication skills (email and phone)Attention to detailAbility to prioritize demands of the job dutiesUnderstand conditions of paymentStrong Microsoft Excel skillsSelf-starter and ability to work independently and as part of a teamCandidate must have the capacity to show practicality, wisdom, and good sense
