Responsible posting all incoming electronic and manual payments, adjustments, denials and reconciling patient accounts in a credit status due to overpayment's and undistributed credits. Follow proper control procedures for issuing refunds. Investigates and reports trends and issues which result in payment postings and credit balances.

Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associates Degree in Business or related field, required. Related work experience will be considered in lieu of Associate DegreeExperience Required: Minimum three years of experience in patient accounting or related field preferred. Insurance billing preferredAdditional Skills Required: PC, work processing and spreadsheet skills preferred.Additional Skills Preferred: Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Excellent communication and organizational skills required. Knowledge of keyboard for CRT required. Possess sufficient knowledge of account inquiry and analysis to investigate and evaluate situations. Basic accounting and medical terminology preferred. Ability to operate 10 key required. Ability to work with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority. Physical requirements: Clear and present speaking voice. Hearing acuity that allows for understanding over the telephone. Prolonged sitting, visual abilities and manual dexterity that allows the use of PCs for extended periods of time. Responsibilities
