The Revenue Cycle Specialist is responsible for the daily posting of all insurance and patient cash. This process is in a combination of electronic remits and manual batches. Performs daily reconciliation of cash posting which includes managing of Undistributed payments and managing Clearing Accounts.
Responsibilities Review and balance daily deposits provided by multiple sources.Reports for ACH deposits from Keybank, converted deposits from BNY Mellon/Waystar and manual deposits.Understands AR Codes and applies them correctly.Reads EOB and determines payment and contractual adjustment to correct HAR.Identifies numerous payor websites to pull EOB backup for posting.Maintain and prepare daily outstanding payments.Maintain and prepare End of Day balancing spreadsheet.Posts GL adjustments and send back-up to appropriate department.Calls Insurance companies to resolve payment issues.Work with staff in other departments to identify payments that are not Insurance/patient related.Daily cash reconciliation review.Understands and meets performance standards Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum of one year of experience in Patient Accounting.Ability to use a computer keyboard and mouse, navigate computer programs, and use email in a business setting.Ability to pay attention to detail.Ability to communicate verbally in person, on the phone, and in writing in a clear and concise manner.Ability to identify, solve or triage issues appropriately.Previous health care experience.Preferred:
Understanding of debits and credits/basic accounting knowledge.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $25.22 to $35.90 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
