Revenue Cycle Supervisor
Job Summary:Are you an experienced, collaborative leader with a strong background in healthcare revenue cycle operations? MaineGeneral Health is seeking a hands-on Revenue Cycle Supervisor to oversee and support critical revenue cycle functions. This is not your typical supervisor role — you will lead a team while directly contributing to day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient processes and a high standard of service behind the scenes.

Job Description:

About the Role: In this working supervisor position, you’ll manage both your team and your individual workload, providing leadership and support while actively engaging in key revenue cycle processes. This role requires a blend of leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for continuous improvement, allowing you to drive efficiency and ensure optimal department performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Hands-On Experience: Lead and guide your team while engaging directly in the revenue cycle functions, from system support to process troubleshooting. This role requires balancing supervision with active involvement in daily operations.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance revenue integrity. Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows and ensure best practices.Compliance & Standards: Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality standards. Regularly audit processes to maintain compliance with relevant regulations.Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Resolve complex issues related to the revenue cycle, such as scheduling, insurance claims, and payment processing. Work with your team to identify solutions and remove obstacles.Reporting & Analytics: Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and revenue cycle metrics. Provide regular progress reports to leadership, highlighting team performance and goal achievements.Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with clinical, financial, and administrative teams to ensure smooth coordination and alignment of revenue cycle functions across the organization.

What You Bring:

Leadership Experience: Proven experience managing and developing teams in a healthcare revenue cycle environment.Revenue Cycle Expertise: Deep understanding of the revenue cycle process, including patient intake, coding, billing, and collections. Experience with IT systems related to these processes is a plus.Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to assess issues quickly, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.Data-Driven Decision-Making: Comfort with tracking KPIs, analyzing data, and making informed decisions to improve operations.Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams, leadership, and external stakeholders.Organizational Skills: Excellent time management, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
