Revenue Cycle Trainer

Responsibilities

Coordinates and provides appropriate training to new and current employees to meet initial and ongoing educational needs and competency requirements within an assigned area or unit according to departmental standards.

Evaluates the ongoing training needs of an assigned area offering recommendations for process improvement. Collaborate on developing and revising training material and training programs to improve effectiveness.

Prepares and delivers presentations, demonstrations, and special training courses as needed.

Routinely monitors quality and productivity through audit and analysis of the department. Reporting back findings and then making recommendations for educational remediation. Participates in performance improvement activities.

Provide on-site auditing, monitoring, and workflow assistance to ensure adherence to revenue cycle best practices. Coordinate and schedule on-the-job training with employees and management staff new refresher programs.

Skills & Abilities

Should have broad subject matter expertise in pharmacy/home infusion revenue cycle

Knowledgeable in the practices and processes of the pharmacy revenue cycle and is prepared to train others

Ability to conduct technical training programs for new and experienced revenue cycle employees, establish training goals and provide hands-on classwork and web based training.

Ability to apply adult learning principles in education and support professionals involved in the revenue cycle

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent and (6) years of pharmacy revenue cycle leadership experience OR associate degree in business, Health Administration, or Education with 4 years of pharmacy healthcare revenue cycle OR bachelor’s degree in business, Health Administration or Education with 2 years of pharmacy leadership experience PLUS two (2) years of professional, structured training and education course development or relevant teaching experience.

Demonstrated excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Proven high level of knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle systems

Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Power Point, Word, Excel, and Outlook) or equivalent
