Under direct supervision, the main responsibility of this position is analyzing revenue and ownership for proper disbursement to interest owners. This also includes analysis of various aspects related to oil & gas revenue and accounting related transactions.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Review purchaser statements & check details for all products to determine accuracy of revenue paymentsWork with Purchasers and/or other Operators to resolve discrepancies discovered through accuracy reviewUse purchaser statements & check details received from Purchaser and/or other Operators to create uploads directly into Accounting Software (SAP)Use volumes and contractual rates to create uploads directly into Accounting Software (SAP)Provide proper documentation for revenue voucher submitted for reviewEnsure all revenue voucher related back-up is scanned and saved in proper locationsMeet all revenue distribution deadlinesAssist other members of the Revenue Group as neededPerform various ad hoc projects as assignedCommunicate with other departments within the company to resolve outstanding itemsPrepare monthly account reconciliations as needed

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (BBA or BS) in AccountingDemonstrated experience in MS Excel, including skills creating and configuring VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and Sum IF formulasFamiliar with revenue accounting, production, and general accounting principles

Preferred Qualifications:

At least one (1+) years of accounting experience preferredExperience working within the PRA module of SAPExamples of suggested and implemented process improvements to increase efficiencyBe flexible regarding daily work assignments and prioritiesExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong attention to detail with ability to quickly pick up on new concepts
