The Revenue Growth Director will partner closely with our Group Vice Presidents/Market Vice Presidents & Market Directors to drive productivity, advice, and balanced sales growth. This role is responsible for achieving the organization’s growth goals for total sales with an emphasis on balanced sales growth through effective advice delivery: wealth management, accumulation, retirement income and core protection sales in the Life/Health/Annuity lines. As well as overall advisor productivity as measured by advisor revenue growth, client service model and advice delivery. The role is centered on driving balanced revenue growth for advisor/team, field leaders and the overall enterprise through leveraging campaigns, client service model, one-on-one and one-to-many advisor consulting. The organization’s advice strategy and client experience play a critical role.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive growth in Total Sales: Weighted Investment Deposit (WID) and Annual New Business Production (ANBP), acquiring new clients, and increase investment revenues (RFOB). Focus on financial planning and purpose-based advice, with particular emphasis on core income protection, accumulation strategies, retirement income planning, and wealth transfer.
Build and maintain strong relationships and joint strategies with advisors and field leaders in the assigned Thrivent Advisor Groups (TAGs). Actively participate in business planning with local TAG leaders and the Advisor Productivity team.
Foster and support productivity and revenue growth in collaboration with the Revenue Practice and Productivity team, the Wholesaling COE and other key stakeholders in distribution, benefiting advisors across all segments—from new financial advisors to high-performing team practices—within the assigned TAG.
Be deeply committed to and knowledgeable about the organization’s advice strategy and solutions. Align and deliver team results for a consistent advice experience and effective implementation of product solutions, including both protection and investments. Expertise in Money Guide Pro, the Thrivent Planning Platform and other advice tools and delivery mechanisms required.
Coach and motivate advisors that result in outstanding client appointments, increased productivity, driving sales, revenue, new clients, improving practice leverage, and building team structures.
Proactively support advisors in achieving their business plans and goals through an efficient contact approach; provide coaching and necessary tools to ensure their success. Develop and implement strategies to help advisors build more productive practices, including book management, client service models, revenue growth initiatives, and deepening client relationships.
Assist advisors in achieving strong advice implementation results and balanced production across all product lines. Partner with the Wholesaling team to drive appointment activity, accelerated advice implementation, advisor recognition, and revenue metrics.
Support advisors in enhancing their professionalism and delivering an exceptional client experience by utilizing the advice framework.
Build collaborative relationships with the Advice and Wholesaling teams, as well as other regional leaders, focusing on strategic alignment and addressing the revenue and productivity needs of advisors.
Promote and facilitate collaboration between experienced and new advisors in joint field work and book management. Recognize and celebrate collaborative efforts and achievements.
This position will bring ideas to, and collaborate with Group Vice Presidents, Market Vice Presidents and Market Directors to identify mutual interest productivity strategies that will help achieve Thrivent’s goals. This role builds strong, collaborative relationships with the Advice and Wholesaling teams and Group leaders to strategically partner on revenue goals with particular emphasis on Life/Health/Annuity implementation through the organization’s advice strategy. This position assists in recruiting, capacity, and retention efforts for the group by building trusting relationships with advisors leading to team launch of new advisors and referrals. This position will regularly communicate, need to influence, and inspire advisors, teams, and staff. This role requires the ability to have strong two-way partnerships with Regional Groups and other teams like, Wholesaling/Sales Support, the National Practice Group, Advisor Growth and Advice. This position builds and maintains crucial partnerships within Thrivent Corporate like, IT/systems, Marketing, and Sales Support.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Four-year college degree strongly preferred.
Minimum five years coaching financial advisors.
Demonstrated track record of supporting and driving advice implementation and sales results (i.e. Life/Health/Annuities, Investments, etc.). Familiarity with key planning topics such as income protection, accumulation strategies, retirement income planning, tax-efficiency and wealth transfer required.
Experience in using the organization’s advice platform, Salesforce and other internal tools/systems (i.e. CAP, Illustrations, etc.) and ability and willingness to model, promote and demonstrate usage of tools as needed.
Experience in IA programs such as managed accounts and fee-based planning strongly preferred.
Ability to present and facilitate large and small groups in order to drive understanding of concepts and practices that lead to advisor success.
Ability to utilize technology like, Salesforce and Power BI to connect with and coach advisors.
Professional designation or history of significant progress toward achievement preferred.
FINRA Series 7, 63/65 or 66 required or obtained within 90 days.
State insurance licensed and appointed in life, health and variable lines of authority or obtained within 90 days.
State securities registered and insurance licensed and appointed in all states that comprise the group area.
Once advisors are assigned to this position, this position will require securities registrations, state insurance licenses and appointments in all states where advisors are conducting business and receiving commissions.
Satisfactory background check and clean compliance record.
Flexibility to travel within the region (may include overnight) and conduct business during evening hours.
