A Revenue Specialist II or III working as part of Registration’s Coverage Change Queue team needs to have a deep knowledge related to the revenue cycle with a focus on the understanding of insurance and collections. Payor Knowledge is a plus! The Revenue Specialist in this role is expected to work independently post-training to ensure timely and accurate evaluations of coverage changes. This will ensure accuracy through appropriate approvals and or denials along with confirmation of entity affiliations to mitigate downstream impacts including the potential for inappropriate retractions or refunds.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Research / Analysis/ Documentation
Review requested coverage changes and complete a detailed evaluation to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of proposed coverage (all coverage positions) based on account history, required data elements to coordinate benefits and eligibility. Confirm coverage change reason is accurate.Once the correct coverage is determined, a detailed review is required for paid claims to evaluate whether the payments were made by the correct payor to mitigate inappropriate retractions or refundsClearly and concisely document account evaluation and determination in Reggie/ NS notes to create clarity and understanding for downstream partnersIdentify process changes and opportunities for continuous improvement based on root causes of coverage changesOther duties as assigned; including but not limited to:
Attend and facilitates team meetings, phone conferences, and training as neededKnow, understand, and follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures including SOX documentation and practicesMinimum Requirements:

Salary/ Wage Range
