Description
We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD user to assist with drafting and design workflows during a major renovation project. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, familiarity with AutoCAD tools, and the ability to collaborate with design, engineering, and IT teams to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Software Management:
+ Install, configure, and maintain AutoCAD software and related applications across the organization.
+ Manage software licensing and ensure compliance with vendor agreements.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve AutoCAD-related issues, including software conflicts and performance problems.
User Support and Training:
+ Provide technical support and training to teams using AutoCAD, including designers, architects, and engineers.
+ Assist with the development of best practices and technical standards for CAD users.
+ Create and conduct training sessions for new users and provide ongoing support for advanced software features.
Template and Standards Development:
+ Develop, implement, and manage company-specific AutoCAD templates, blocks, and libraries.
+ Establish and enforce drafting standards and protocols within the organization.
Collaboration and Data Management:
+ Coordinate with project teams to ensure efficient integration of AutoCAD files into project workflows.
+ Manage and maintain CAD file storage, permissions, and version control to prevent data loss.
+ Collaborate with IT departments for server and system management to support CAD operations.
System Upgrades and Enhancements:
+ Recommend and implement AutoCAD system upgrades, plugins, and tools to improve workflow efficiency.
+ Evaluate emerging CAD technologies and explore opportunities to integrate advanced tools.
Quality Assurance:
+ Perform quality checks to ensure that all AutoCAD work adheres to project specifications, company standards, and client expectations.
+ Monitor file integrity and ensure accurate drawings.
Documentation and Reporting:
+ Document processes, upgrade logs, and software configurations for system audits and maintenance.
+ Generate reports on CAD usage and software performance.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience:
+ Proven experience as an AutoCAD Administrator, CAD Manager, or a similar role.
+ In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD software, including 2D and 3D drafting and modeling.
+ Familiarity with other design and drafting tools (e.g., Revit, SketchUp, SolidWorks) is a plus.
Technical Skills:
+ Strong knowledge of AutoCAD setup, customization, automation, and troubleshooting.
+ Experience with CAD standards, file formats (e.g., DWG, DXF), and file management.
+ Basic understanding of IT systems (servers, networks) to support CAD environments.
+ Knowledge of programming languages like AutoLISP or VBA for customizing AutoCAD is a bonus.

+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
+ Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
