Our work depends on a **DBA / Application Developer** joining our CNIC Applications Support team which provides system administration and development/maintenance support of Commander, Navy Installation Command (CNIC) REVS application. **HOW OUR DBA / APPLICATION DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:** + Application developer and DBA for CNIC application: Ration Entitlement Verification System (REVS). + Supports existing applications including developing fixes as necessary and providing support for complex issues. + Gathers, understands, and documents user requirements and technical specifications. + Follows all software requirements development standards. + Utilizes available programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation. + Creates and helps maintain technical and end-user documentation for new and existing applications. + Daily Database Checks + Monitor System Alerts + Quarterly DB STIGS + Support DEV/QA/PROD Deployments + DB patching/upgrades + Attend LCCBs to review/approve change requests from a DB perspective + Troubleshoot Tier II/III Remedy tickets Requests impacting REVS System availability and performance + Support for Ad-hoc requests + Development support for Change Requests related to Application Changes + Analysis and Design validation for application changes + Checking/out Code changes in Git using Bitbucket + Coordinate with SDP via IssueTrak tickets + Track tasking through Jira + Manage MySQL DBs including upgrades and replication + Support REVS Development (SQL Table structure changes, SQL optimization) + REVS Quarterly STIG Standups + REVS Dev Team Standups + REVS Weekly Customer meeting Support + Retrospectives + Status reporting **WHAT YOU’LL NEED:** + **Security Clearance Level:** Active Secret clearance with completed T5 Investigation + **Required Experience:** + 8 years of relevant IT experience + Experience developing/maintaining applications in a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) Stack.Knowledge managing G2 systems in the SDP data center. + **Required Certifications:** DoD 8570 IAT II compliant - Security+ CE + **Education:** BS Degree or equivalent Computer Science or IT related degree + **Location:** Remote + **US Citizenship required** **GDIT IS YOUR PLACE:** + Full-flex work week to own your priorities at work and at home + 401K with company match + Comprehensive health and wellness packages + Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career + Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications + Cutting-edge technology you can learn from + Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays The likely salary range for this position is $92,331 - $110,592. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
