HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
Responsible for: operating machine, exchange of pallets, rubber containers, and trolleys, sequencing, control panel operations and recipe weight measurements.Responsible for: marking and identifying compounds, including special markings for Halobutyl, B460, and clean out compounds.Responsible for: Handling, transporting and storage of materials and compounds.Responsible for: batch release of rework compounds.Possess and apply problem solving skills in case of machine cycle issues.Read specifications, use hand tools, and gauging devices, to monitor current and ongoing product quality.React quickly to equipment downtime or other extraordinary conditions and must notify supervision whenever such conditions occur.Perform actions with a control panel interface, both automatic and manual.Must be able to read and understand written and oral instructions: as to specs, procedures, tolerances, and various construction and quality requirements.Communicate with other inbound and outbound operators, production operators, and supervisors.Drives forklifts and operate other material handling equipment and is responsible for the proper care and safe operation of the material handling equipment.Performs other duties as directed by the shift leaders or management team.Demonstrate the characteristics of 5S Care and Inspect to keep work areas and machines neat, clean, aligned, orderly and maintainedQualifications
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
Work Keys- Applied Math-3, Graphic Literacy-3, Workplace Documents-3HS diploma /GED1-3 year experience in manufacturing preferredForklift driving experience preferredWilling to work 12 hour rotating shifts – days, nights, and weekends.THE ENVIRONMENT
Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures/ guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection and steel toe shoes. The job is within a non-climate controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise.
