You Are:
UST is searching for a Rework Technician who will perform rework and repair on hardware platforms and boards, including soldering, desoldering, component replacement, and reflow soldering.
The Opportunity:
· Interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions to identify and rectify defects and non-conformities.
· Utilize rework equipment such as hot air rework stations, soldering irons, solder paste dispensers, and inspection microscopes to perform precision rework tasks.
· Conduct visual inspections and quality checks to verify the integrity of reworked boards and ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to address rework-related issues and implement corrective actions.
· Document rework activities, including defects found, rework performed, and test results, in accordance with company procedures and standards.
· Maintain rework equipment and tools, ensuring proper calibration, functionality, and safety compliance.
· Perform BGA Component rework with heating, removing pad wicking, placing component and alignment for PCB Boards.
· Perform THM Component Rework with Solder pot machine
· Determine/Follow the procedure/sequences of operations in performing components installation/replacement, circuit repair and using hand soldering method.
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
What You Need:
· Should be proficient in Reading Schematics & board layout (navigate with Allegro/or other related viewer software)
· Should be able to deploy and bring up hardware platforms, performs system upgrades, debug related issues, provide technical support services.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Massachusetts
Compensation Range: $48,000-$72,000

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.
